India is a diverse country full of curiosity. From our traditional food to the clothes we wear, everything is a part of a vast subject: science. To make learning interactive, the Assam government cooperates with the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) to build labs that are full of fun. After all, who doesn’t understand science better when it is explained practically?

As a developing country, India is rapidly making a name for itself in science and technology. To inspire the next generation of innovators who will develop the nation, the government has established Science Cities across the country, including locations in Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Kolkata (West Bengal), and Sonapur near Guwahati (Assam).

At these centers, you can explore various hands-on experiments and exhibits, such as:
- From Small Impacts to Big Disasters: Understanding how landslides occur.
- Twister Ahead: Seeing how a cyclone or tornado forms.
- Digital Adventure: Exploring what life might look like in the future.
- Experience Flying: Soaring through an artificial sky using body sensors to navigate over a map of Guwahati.
- AI and Goofiness: Using AI to superimpose your face onto different characters.
It is incredible to experience science through technology! Even though we had to wait at least two hours after booking our tickets to try the VR space experience, it was entirely worth it. The motion seats made the journey feel incredibly real. It wasn’t an optical illusion; it was a prediction our brains made that reflected in what we saw.

You can also find a replica of the upcoming Bharatiya Antariksha Station—the space station India plans to launch in the future. It is inspiring to think that we are rising day by day, processing new data, and solving complex problems to advance our nation.
Science isn’t just a subject to study; it’s a journey. I would love for Rongghor to take us on a trip there—not just to play, but to truly learn.
